Literature Text

Once the light had faded, Alex and Mirra found themselves in the middle of a busy street. They screamed as a semi truck roared towards them and they sprinted to opposite sides of the road. They looked at each other from across the street and laughed. They were back in the real world. Well, the "real" world anyway.
"I'll just cross the street." Mirra called over to Alex. He gave her a thumbs up. She crossed at the intersection and both of them noticed the street sign almost immediately.
"Sonora Avenue!" Mirra exclaimed.
"Perfect." Alex replied. "I think my office is just a few blocks that way." He pointed towards the mountains.

Needless to say, everyone was wondering where Alex had been. A small news team had gathered, there evidently wasn't anything else exciting happening in Glendale. They almost knocked Mirra over trying to ask Alex questions. He answered most of them sarcastically until a couple of security guards shoed the reporters away. A few people who Mirra didn't recognize, probably staff, complained, explained and otherwise informed Alex of what he had missed in the couple of days he had been gone. After he finally got everyone off his back, he collapsed on the taxidermied Buffalo in his office.
The past few days would not be soon forgotten.
